Choir during coronavirus

Voices Rock Medicine has been making quite an impact around Canada. The women physicians of VRM are working on the frontlines during COVID-19, and also inspiring people with their musical performances via zoom. You might have even seen them perform "We Rise Again" on the Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble benefit concert. In this episode, Akrit and Meredith interview two original VRM members, Dr. Susan Thouin and Dr. Jennifer Arvanitis and bring you up to date on the choir's recent pursuits.

From Physician to Musician (ft. Anthony Bastianon)

Anthony Bastianon, VRC's Artistic Director, joins inChoir T.O. in the studio. Anthony discusses his career in music and what he's learned working with Voices Rock Medicine. Learn about Anthony's philosophy of how everyone can sing - even those of you who think you're "tone deaf". Hear VRM's performance of Anthony's arrangement of Landslide, originally by Fleetwood Mac. Note - this episode was recorded before COVID-19, and mentions the May concert which has since been cancelled. 

The Beginning (ft. Cheryl Bower)

InChoir T.O. is joined by Voices Rock Canada (VRC) founder Cheryl Bower. Akrit, Meredith and Cheryl talk about how VRC started, the success of the rock choir, and the inception of the women physicians choir with VRC - Voices Rock Medicine (VRM). You'll hear VRM sing in their first concert and learn about the benefits that the members get from being in a choir with like-minded people.
